A building takes a designer, an engineer, a permit application and somebody to run the site. We are all four, which means one number to call and nobody able to point at somebody else.

Whether it is a house on a plot you already own, an extension to something that exists, or a development you are putting together — the work runs in the same order, and the parts that go wrong are usually the joins between people. Doing it under one roof is how those joins disappear.
